Gas in St. Louis went from $1.79 to $1.89 today. ](*,)

Just looked at the news and saw this.
Light crude touches $49 before settling at $48.46, less than a dollar below NYMEX all-time record. Oil prices rose on Thursday with persistent concerns over a supply shortage following Hurricane Ivan, despite news the U.S. will loan some oil from its reserves to refineries to make up for lost production.
Looks like oil will be getting more expensive for the midwest and east coast. Amazing how much a Hurricane impacts the entire Worlds economy. All the ships full of crude oil to be processed had to wait for the storm to pass before they could come to port. pffft weather... :axe:

I'm still at $2.00 per gallon for Premium (93 octane). I have seen some places going up a few pennies, but it isn't as large of a jump as yours.

Also, there's a lot of drilling that happens in the Gulf that isn't happening right now....

oh no! , not again! :x
Prices were just going under $2 a gallon when I went to Maui (price there is $2.60 a gallon all the time) It was great to comeback an fill up at $1.83, but prices are headed up again in spite of the fact ALL the oil refined here comes from Alaska, with no production problems there this year.
Now bush decides to break in to the strategic reserve!
