Team Fortress 2 Freezing problem

Post by duplo83 »

Hey guys, quick question about TF2 for you.

I seem to be running into some freezing issues. I initially thought it was due to an unstable over-clock (Q9450 2.66Ghz OC to 3.8Ghz), but my system runs everything else just fine. I play NVWN 2 for hours on end with no problem, and I let Prime95 run it's check for 6 hours with no problem. TF2 will randomly freeze completely, forcing a reset. Can a hiccup-y wireless connection be the culprit? I'm also currently trying to get a stable connection between my WRT54G router and my WMP200 wireless card, I experience 2-3 second 'hiccups' in my connection, most evident during games.

Thanks.

is your graphics card overclocked? and make sure to have "Round off error checking" in prime 95 enabled

I haven't touched my GPU, it is running at stock speeds. I'll try the Prime95 when I get home from work today, I'm not sure if that option was checked or not.
