How Much Will XBOX 360 Games Cost? $60-$70

I was talking with some friends about the next gen console wars and it's rumored that next gen games will cost roughly $70 a piece for the big name titles. EBGames has a ton of XBOX 360 titles listed at $59.99. One of the titles is Call of Duty 2, so $60 isn't too bad. These new high quality games need longer development time, so higher prices are expected. Developing video games today now costs millions of dollars per tittle.

I bet colleges like Devry are loving how complex making games is becoming since a college degree in game development is now a degree that is desired by many leading game companies.

I have seen worse. Rember the neo-geo home system.

The console was $500 the games were $250 and it was trying to compete against the SNES and sega genesis.

I remember that the N64 games retailed for up to 70 dollars a game, although 60 was the norm price.

The rising cost of the games will just cause more people to rent the games unless they have online capabilities.
