save games and level files tend to get corrupted very easily, and theres nothing you can do to get your old ones back

yea the good reason for not coming out with the patch is their expansion pack, crysis warhead
hopefully it will be better scaled to the average person's computer, but more likely they will make it even more intensive so that only the new GTX200 series and HD 4870 and HD 4870 X2 can tame it.
