Wanted to give this a bit of a bump and let everyone know that Portal: Prelude is very challenging, but still fun. The story is ok, though it is just some scientists watching you do the puzzles and commenting. It isn't too deep yet. I got to a level that breaks down, and they are saying that the facility is "In progress." That's all I know about the story so far. It is definitely worth the download.

Me too, I always enjoy portal map packs. This guy just spent far more time on his, and it shows.

I just don't like some of the speed requirements. Infinite falls and launching a portal into just the right spot is tough.

Well I just beat Portal: Prelude and I must say, I'm not all that impressed...the ending kinda sucked, it didn't really explain anything. Quite unfulfilling.

Oh well, at least it was more challenging than the original

I am stuck in a room with 2 angled walls where you can shoot a portal, one moves, the other is stationary... I assume I need to use the stationary one to build momentum, then shoot a portal onto the moving one when I get the chance. Is this right? I stopped playing the game because it was a bit too challenging at that point.

Give me a room number, not sure which one you're talking about...there's been so many moving platforms and impossible shots *shudders*

As for chamber three, I'll assume you're on the second half, just ignore the platform that pops out, shoot for the top middle...

Ouch yeah that ones a toughie, you have to cycle through at least 3 times to build momentum then shoot an exit on the moving platform and fly to the upper area on the right. Have fun when you get to the second half of the level and don't forget about the miracle that is quicksave

I got through it, I had gotten through the part just before 19 without bringing the companion cube, which is needed of course. I found a way to get back to the previous level, got the cube, and moved on.

Taking my leisurely time on Prelude. On 18 now :D
