From what I read, here are my thoughts that I posted in the above thread...

I hate developers that want to do "their own take" on a intellectual property/franchise. Just give me a game that will let me freely do real world decisions in a Sci-Fi world. If I want to pilot a different mech, make me qualify or something in order to do it if you must, but don't lock me into some linear path.

Nice. I haven't touched the series since MechWarrior 4...hopefully it's a good one

Sweet! I was always a fan of big robot with humongous canons duking it out. I can't wait.
There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of animals Chuck Norris allows to live.

I haven't been much of a fan since M3. M$ got a hold of it and sorta dumbed it down (yes, M4 was pretty). It'll be interesting to see what they do with close-proximity combat - think jump-jets and an 80-ton mech landing on another mech. And hopefully they do something decent with the AI. If I go into a low spot and shut down power why am I still on the radar? yeah...
I have to agree with you FeRal, I wouldn't like a linear path either. Give me freedom to use a different mech as I see fit.

I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong.
