Diablo 2 Ad-Hoc mac/pc?

Ok im gonna try and get a game of Diablo 2 going on an ad-hoc 802.11b connection between a macbook and a winxp laptop tonight I dont suppose anyone has tried this and got it to work have they?

Now, my beer adled memory recalls a successful attempt at playing mac/pc simultaneously on a lan and a brief search online turned up some links to support my assumption. http://forums.macrumors.com/archive/ind ... 50588.html

Thanks but I actually got it to work pretty easily! turns out where we originally tried had some ports blocked but we tried at my office and it worked like a charm! we played for about 3 hours with not hicups or disconnects. Thanks though!

Ah, Diablo 2... truly one of the top classic games in my book. Played it when I was much younger, and started playing it again last year. Too bad I got burnt out so quick since you can get chars to 80+ in no time

Still addictive as WoW though imo.
