F.E.A.R. Installation Problem

Ok, i got a F.E.A.R. several months ago and played it for a while, beat the campaign, played online a bit, then uninstalled to give me a break. Now i try and re-install it...

Problem: Whenever i pop in the 1st disc (or any disc by that), i get the usual Windows error problem--> "Monolith HTML AutoRun has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I don't get it, worked fine the first time i tried months ago. Now here i am trying to re-install and i can't even get the startup menu to install the game. Any ideas?

try opening the first install disk and exploring it to find the setup.exe file... I had that problem with RE4, you just need to kinda bypass the autorun procedure.

meh, all i want is the multiplayer really since i've already beaten the game part. So i just downloaded the free multiplayer from their site and got it up and running. I should be OK, thanks though. I'll try and bypass the autorun just for the sake of.
