Lan Battlefield 2

I went to a lan party no internet like always and it always takes battlefield 2 like 5 mins to open, any ideas why and how to stop it?

It also happens to everybody else, its a real pain.
Main Rig: C2D 6850 @ 3.0Ghz, 2Gb DDR2667Mhz @ 833Mhz 5-5-5-15 Timings , XFX xXx 8600GTS @ 730/2260 , Gigabyte Ga-945GCM-S2L
JukeBox: Currently in an Upgrade but im too lazy to do it at the moment

If you are talking about when you click log in and it takes forever to get you to the main menu. I had that exact problem. I deleted the account from the computer and went into my docs and deleted everything and re-added it and it worked.

no not that at all, When we first open the game it goes to a blackscreen for a couple of minutes and then it goes to the login screen.

pretty sure that BF2 attempts to connect to the Account Server whether you are playing SP or MP. With no net connection, I could see it taking a while to figure out what it's trying to do.

yes but is their anyway to fix it?

bugger nothing in their. Next time i might try a crack that takes the videos out.

if you want to prevent the videos from playing, just change the name of the video files. I just added a "1" in each of the file name. videos dont open now.
