fear's graphics are very close to those of hl2's, but they're much more demanding and appear more jagged than those of hl2's... not to mention that fear came out way later than hl2 did.
you have to knock the graphics down on fear in order to play it without glitchiness, but you lose detail.... both of which take away from the gaming experience for me. that's why i won't play fear until i've got a pc that can run it without a problem at full/near-full specs.
