haha when you wrote about the turkey-eating incident, i thought "oh boy... that poor dog must have shat his brains out after that." then, i read that he got really sick after that. poor guy... i bet it'd be a long time before he eats turkey again.

personally, i dont think i'd get a german shepherd until i had a family that was all grown up. i've heard that sometimes, german shepherds dont get along with kids/babies... kinda like rottweilers, pitbulls, and, ironically enough, dalmations.

you can't judge a dog by breed...some are more aggressive or tempermental than others, but it is all in how they are raised and treated. mars has an extremely loving disposition, unless someone is threatening toward my wife....even me, then he rreally nuts up.

very true. but sometimes dogs will make an uncharacteristic behavior.... kinda like that tiger that fucked up roy, know what i mean? but you're totally right... in almost all cases, it depends on how they were raised.

Don't try to understand the mind of a dog. They do weird and stupid stuff. My dog finds squerels and birds a threat and not strangers.
