Ok, so my friend got GTA IV for his PS3, and he says there's a problem where the street names/car names/etc. in the bottom, right-hand corner of the screen get partially cut off.
I thought it might be because he might have a CRT and they tend to do that, however, he has a rear-projection.
All the PS3's video settings are correct, and he says there are no options in the game that might fix the problem.
does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Text Missing in GTA IV
check the picture settings on the tv, if its on auto try the different settings manually. I know with my roommates 50 inch plasma it can get confused on screen resolution changes and zoom in too far cutting off text(ie changing from loading screens to gameplay). changing the setting from "auto" to "widescreen" fixes the issue on his tv.
Re: Text Missing in GTA IV
Go through and try different "aspect ratios", as most rear projection models have that feature.

Thanks guys, My friend now says he fixed the problem, apparently he had to change the resolution... to 480x640, he still thinks the graphics are amazing

Re: Text Missing in GTA IV
I cannot wait to get this for PC. I played it a bit over the weekend and it is pretty fun. The city is more detailed, and darker. I always thought there was a lack of shadows in the first few games, made it look too cartoony.
