I'm the team leader of one of the teams, Panoramic Vision.. so check out our progress... and feedback would be great..

Will you post an EXE for the game when you are done? Looks pretty cool, can't wait to see the finished product.

I like the original :P

Maybe make the others unlockable, eg. Ratchet and Clank games...helps add replay value (for me anyway) if there are unlockables to get and it shouldn't be too hard if its just a map you have to change out. Looks like you guys are really coming along, the level you show in the vid look pretty well designed, can't wait to try it out.

Also if you need Beta testers at some point...

BUMP!!!

Getting close to the end of this now so heres an update

Our trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqvU--fyr9E

Some footage from last week
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZODRsD-FtA

It should improve quite a bit as we are trying to get in a lot of assets in this week.. so hopefully we'll have an impressive vid next week

And if any of you live in or around Edinburgh you can play the game yourself if you pop down to the Edinburugh International Conference Centre between the 10-12 of August.

...if you do remember to vote for my team :p

Unfortunately we didn't win any of the proper prizes on offer for this competition

Any we will hopefully have a full proper exe available in a week or so.... though don't know if we'll have anywhere to put it up online as its probably going to be a pretty big download. Hopefully the official dare website will put it up but god knows how long that will take.

Anyway if and when we do get it up hope you all get a chance to play it and let us know what you think.

No we didn't write the engine ourselves.. we used the instinct engine

As for how big.. honestly I am not 100% as we will cut out all the crap that we dont actually use no doubt but it will probably be at least several hundred MBs

* bump..

Ok you can now dl the game at http://www.daretobedigital.com/team-inf ... /index.php
team name panoramic vision.. game is shutterbug
you need to be signed up to dl it.

Also... discovered other problems with it after giving in CD but I have moved having got a job at Rockstar North (guys who make gta) and havent got a chance to change the readme file... (not sure if i can at this point anyway)

Ok... so you might need
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
and the physx installer in the folder
to play the game

Its possible there still might be problems... I'll try to figure out if there is other software you need to run the game... but remember it was done by 5 students in 10 weeks.. so getting it to work on the systems we made it on was about as far as we went for compatiblity testing...

Let me know if it works or doesnt for you and what you think of the game. Cheers
