Any decent flying type games?

I think one of my favorite games of old was X-Wing vs Tie Fighter. Are there any fun flight type games out there? I'm just looking for lots of dog-fights. I wish Lucas Arts would make an updated version of that game, but there probably isn't enough demand for a stand-alone game like that anymore.

Anyway, I welcome any suggestions.

The only one that I personally know of and have is Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3...damn good game...especially when you set it up to have a mean dogfight...5 wingmen..and 5 or more enemies to atack..nothign but fun until you're shot down..beyond that game..there aren't too many good flight games out there that I know of other than this one really...other than Flight Simlulator X..The JetFigher series wasn't too bad..more modern flight warfare in that one..but thats all i know of

I'll have to look at that and see how it is.

No PS2 here, just an Xbox 360 and my trusty rig. I'd prefer PC as I haven't used my wingman stick in quite some time.

I did see a couple on steam that look interesting: "IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946" and "Blazing Angels 2" Thanks for the suggestions.

I'd suggest IL-2 Sturmovik with all expansions. The graphics engine is well optimised to run on almost any rig, still it could be cranked to break sweat on a 8800. The level of simulation can be tuned from where the main thing you'll be fighting is YOUR plane to a setting which is being reffered to as "air quake". Altough being liked in the hardcore crowd the game manages to stay fun and user friendly. In Sturmovik you are not limited to dogfights. You can attack ships with large arsenal of bombs, torpedoes or try denting them with cannons, same applies for tanks and other ground forces.
