14 of the top 30 PC Games Fail on Intel Motherboards

Post by Apoptosis »

During a recent discussion with NVIDIA we were told that 14 of the top 30 PC games fail or have graphics issues when running on Intel G45 based motherboards. For many months now AMD and NVIDIA have been showing off the flaws of Intel's on-board graphics on the most current platform available today.

Many of those titles are games that we all know an love since they are in the top 30 games sold for what I believe is the month of July based off NPD data. Some the the games listed having issues:

Age of Conan
Sims 2
Assassins Creed
Crysis
World in Conflict
Star Wars Knights
Mass Efect
BioShock
Half-Life Episode 2
World in Conflict
Microsoft Flight Simulator X

A crash once a month is a fail for intel, but is ok by me. Sometimes crashes are a way of saying "go find something else to do".

I played CoH on integrated graphics, and I still had fun. This was a while ago, and I would never go back, but hey, I was poor.

I'm glad intel is sticking it's neck out into other branches like graphics, but why try to sell them to the public if they can't support modern games, not to mention future ones.

With the exception of the AMD 780G full graphics on the chipset. 8)

Yah, Intel may be the speed king right now, but what good is it if you can go fast and crash often?

I just upgraded to a laptop AMD X2 and Nvidia GPU. I'm pleased with it. It can run the games I play without troubles.

so, are they saying that Intel's like the rockstar that dies at 27, and AMD is the non-party-goer that lives to be 112?
