Has anyone actually seen a Geforce 2 run HL 2 at its worse setting.... or are we just guessing it won't work?

I would suspect that HL2 (or any newer game) would turn mostly CPU dependent at 640x480 and all lowest graphics settings... then again you can also opt to not run in full screen to get better framerates too. I'd bet a 6-pack HL2 will run playable on a Geforce 2 somehow.

BTW... I would suspect that outside of LL, most people don't have the files for 1.6 anymore. So I'm for moving to newer versions of games and basing tornaments off the latest version of the big-name titles.

Yes you are right....again But! at least everyone who wanted to can play 1.6 at the LAN instead of CS right? maybe?......crap! Lost that battle.

And Illuminati, I have a GF TI 200 and it bled to death trying to run HL2 on a 2400+ with 512 RAM. It wasnt oc'd or anything so it might be possible. UT04 barely runs on it at 640 and all low settings, and I mean barely.

update: we are currently looking at having 54 people signed up...so hurry and sign up!

I plan on attending and enjoying whatever there is to play.

As for CS:1.6 I also don't really care for the game and won't spend the extra $$$ to play in the tourney...

As a suggestion why not run an "un-official" CS:S tournament? Based on what I've read here and on Warfactory/Laclede Lan's forums there are more than enough people who want to play in one (and maybe a HL:DM tournament).

Yeah Im down with a HL: DM "pickup" tourny. Like make a sign up sheet in the beginning or something. Hmm, lemme see whats all going on that day with the LL guys - this isnt our arena this go around.

2. we are not partnered with warfactory anymore.

the sheet is just so that you guys can know who is willing to play, intrest level, etc.

*chuckle* Well, I'd be up for playing in the HL2:DM pickup tournament but seeing as the day will be BEan's I might have to think twice about it. After all, playing Duke Nukem via IPX/SPX is still fun!

the ram gave out on it, talked to evga they said there was no fixing it, and promptly informed me I was out of waranty and the I would be happy to know that as os jan 1 05 that all evga cards would carry a 2 year waranty not 1 (like mine).

lack the funds for a new card, bum'n a card from topher at the moment, think its a GF2 not sure.

stuck at the moment, try and get parts to fix want I have, or baby it along and get stuff to use the CPU I won at the lan (witch is what I want) but life as it is more important things keep coming up.
