BF2 mod: Project Reality

Post by Dragon_Cooler »

If you still have and enjoy BF2, rock on! This mod is one of the greatest mods ever IMHO for a game!! The learning curve is VERY VERY steep. Heck, i am still trying to figure things out.

But the game play is NOTHING like BF2. There are different modes and even kits are different. This mod pretty much forces you to play as a team. I.E. in order to get any of the awesome kits, like the pilot kit, crewman kit (to drive vehicles) you have to join a squad. All I can say is, RTFM (I had to and still are), get in and join a training server for a few days, and then deploy.

There are 2 file sets you need to download to start playing: (Of course you need to have BF2 installed and with latest patch)

1. get the Core file 1.8Gb in size: http://www.realitymod.com/filelinks.html
2. get the maps file (towards bottom of page)1.4Gb in size: http://www.realitymod.com/filelinks.html
3. Install core first, then the maps file
4. play game..

If you actually play, to get you started; once you are in game, join a squad, walk up to a vehicle and press "T", from there choose what you want. If accepted your pack will be on the ground at your feet. Press "G" to swap to that kit and have fun!! All I can say is, dont be affraid to read the manual, it HELPS!

Well, I am talking about bots I guess. I downloaded it on my fiance's computer and I should get a chance to try it out next week. I will let you all know if it works with bots in "no friends" mode (AKA dial-up mode)
