Weird. Maybe someone forgot their ID and thought it was what you are using and requested a password reset.

Looks like a legit email, but sent for the wrong reason :P

I've had a few of these in the past when my little brother was trying to get on my steam account to play my games when I said he wasn't allowed. :axe:

There has been a lot of phishing on Steam latley. My roommate is in a TF2 clan and their admin got his account hacked and now can't access his games at all. Any pm or e-mails from Steam should be double checked!

They should have some type of account recovery system that involves personal information that only the owner would or could know.

how was it stolen? isnt your email tied to the account? couldnt you just request a password change? I suppose you can change the email once your in.

yeah or like my bank has. if i try to login from a new computer i have to get a ID text to my phone to enter before it will let me access any info.

Well it happened pretty quick. Just one day tried to login and it didnt work so i did the forgotten password crap and it wasnt tied to my email account anymore, i tried to contact steam but the only option was to send my HL 1 and 2 Cd's and boxes with receipts to america, which was uber lame and thought screw it! and i jsut started using my brothers account which he hasnt used. Im pretty sure ive still got the boxes and cd keys...
