So my friends and I play a game that is simply called "The Game."

The only rule is: Don't think about the game.

If you think about the game, you have to announce to everyone that you lost the game.

Also, if there are people in the area who do not know about the game, you have to tell them about the game. Since obviously everyone will now be thinking about the game, you have 30 minutes to stop thinking about the game, and do not have to announce that you lost.

Just thought I would like to start a new conversation to liven things up around here.

Yes, if you think about "The Game", you announce that you lost, then all other people in the area can think about the game for 30 minutes without losing. That is how you can tell others about it.

Guess it kinda works on the honour system...to bad none of my IRL friends are that honourable
