Pirates! on 1000HE

Post by Tim Burton »

Has anyone tried playing Pirates! on the Asus 1000HE? I'm getting mine on Monday, and I'd like to install it for when I have time to kill.

I have the 1000HA and I would say doubtful. The video in these netbooks isn't made to handle a game made after 1998. Only one way to find out though, install it and see what happens.

Darn. I was hoping it was old enough. It'd be a great timekiller.

I checked the system requirements of the game and they seem low enough that even the 1000HE should be able to handle it. I'd say it's at least worth a try.

I have noticed that 3D games don't run very well at all. I know nothing about Pirates, so you may just have to try it out.

It works fine, except the keyboard can't be adjusted. :(
