STO- Star Trek Online

Possibly the best MMO I've played since WoW....

But I'm a NERD and I like Star Trek. The game officially launched on Feb 2nd and I've been playing since Open Beta. It's not as deep as WoW, but it has some cool mission lines and a lot of fun gameplay. It's still got its bugs, but so did EVERY MMO ever released at first.

I recommend this to anyone who likes space combat, and there are Away missions too which are not that bad. There's still some pvp balancing the devs are working on but I have faith that Cryptic will not ruin this game!

I want to try it, but I am just too cheap to pay these monthly/yearly fees for playing a game.

Heck, I bought a PS3 because the RROD makes you pay to play online - lol

Is the space combat like a flight sim or is it like EVE online? I used to play star wars galaxies and it was a great flight sim for combat but the rest of the game went to hell after they introduce NGE.

It's still got its bugs, but so did EVERY MMO ever released at first.

I gotta say, Aion was the most polished out of the box MMO that I've tried. I have yet to experience server crashes or slowdowns. A few friends made the jump to STO, but I'm still doing the Aion thing.
