Ever since I got my 5870, I have been having a strange problem when in game and I cant figure out if its DX11 or Steam bought games. The last 2 games I have bought through steam are AVP and Bad Company 2. They both experience the same thing and that is, anytime I get a pop up from another program, like a chat client, it will mess the game up. In AVP it completely minimizes the game and in Bad company it changes it to windowed mode.

UTTERLY annoying to say the least. I am sure it has something to do with DX11, however I dont know if BC2 is DX11. Anyone else experiencing the same prob or heard of the problem.

BC2 is DX11.

I'll have a go if I can replicate it tonight and get back to you (If I remember/get chance)

Mainly with digsby. Anytime someone logs on or there is an update, it messes the games up. I cant recall other programs doing it right now.

Any other word? Anyone else experiencing this?

I didn't remember to check

Though I seem to remember a game dropping into windowed mode when another window tried to "stay on top", and I had to quit the other app before the game would stay full screen.
