PC Gamers next issue, about 2 weeks away, is suppose to have the multiplayer demo of F.E.A.R. on it.

I was wrong. I actually received the magazine and the F.E.A.R. multiplayer demo last night. Haven't played it yet though.

i will have my new system soon after this game is released. Fear > HL2
Then stalker comes out early next year. That game sounds promising as well. You can ricchochette bullets off things. haha

they redid that game (stalker), from what i understand. the developers had to start from scratch because.... something. i forget... either because the engine blew (which i thought it did) or someone stole code or something... dunno.

either way, the redone stalker videos i've seen look pretty sweet, but i'm anticipating the fun factor to be around like 7.5.... i hope i'm wrong.

oh, and i've gotta disagree about fear > hl2...

the engine upon which fear runs seems like doom3 to me. there were some things about which i wasn't exactly fond whenever it came to fear... for example, the shooting. it feels like there's a substantial learning curve to this game.... not like it's a bad thing to have a big learning curve, but it's just that it felt like you had no control over where you shot your bullets. they seemed to kinda just go wherever in the general area... kinda like in farcry, almost.

hopefully, they'll patch it to where more than 30% of the bullets will hit someone when you spray from 10 feet away.

also, i kinda thought that the mouse-looking felt a little.... i dunno... difficult?

anyone else feel me on these minor complaints?

other than that, scary as hell.

I din't like F.E.A.R. that much. The guns had a strange re-coil, I was not impressed by the demo graphics, and the player movement was also "off" from what I am used to. This is one of those games that you wait to buy after it hits the $9.99 bargin bin.

How is multi-player? haven't tried that yet.

What were you running the demo graphics at? The softshadows and whatnot made it look pretty good on my box. Primarily I liked the demo because you had LEGS! First time I looked down, I nearly fell out of my chair!

I gotta download it, I'm almost finished downloading Call Of Duty 2 demo, so after that I'm gonna give it a try. Nice to see some more scary games come out for the PC
