Hey, anyone get DOD: S yet? I love HDR, makes the game look much more realistic. But dont you guys think that it should be not an option to switch it off, because I think that it may be an advantage to someone to have it off when everyone else has it on. What you guys think, How do you like it so far, post some screens!

After buying the collectors edition and not having the ability to get DoD, I'm pissed. Valve making the CE buyers go out and spend another $20 is extremely lame. I paid big bucks for the CE because I wanted all of that... not to spend more than the Gold or Silver Package user.
I mean come on Valve!

So when does Lost Coast get released?
- Corsair 800D | Corsair HX850W | LG 20X DVD+/-RW | TRUE 120 | Intel I7 920 D0 @ 4.2GHz (200X21, 1.275v) | Intel X25-M G2 120GB | 2 - WD Green 2TB | 6GB OCZ Platinum PC3 12800 | EVGA X58 SLI | X-Fi Platinum | EVGA GTX 480 (780/1970)
- Dell U2311H 23in (IPS) | Saitek Eclipse II | Razer Boomslang 2007 CE | Razer Exactmat
It's not bad as far as a mod goes... but it's ridiculous that they charged MONEY for it.
First off, it only has four official maps ($5 a map? please)
It's also missing several guns from the original game (m1 carbine isn't selectible as a class, grease gun is gone, semi auto mauser isn't in the game)
The class balance is absurd, and the weapon accuracy is pathetic (which makes the game a huge spray fest compared to the original)
So what this shows me... is that an official product from valve with over a year (probably more around 2) of full time development from a professional team can't be expected to compete with a 3 year old mod developed in around the same timeframe by a group of people in their spare time after work in terms of content and gameplay?
It's damn cool though, I must admit. HDR Rox my sox.

I pwn at long range engagements in DODS I swear. I can shoot the fleas off a dogs back, as Doc Brown would say it, from 50 yards with a Garand, and even better with a sniper rifle.
With a few high res skin additions, the game looks El Gorgeouso, especially with HDR, 6x Quality Adaptive AA, and 16x High Quality AA. =D
