so, my 890GPA is off to Gigabyte tomorrow and i Just assembled my backup which is now a Pentium4 with 2GB dual channel DDR2 533MHz.... and a GTX 460 1GB, so obviously CPU-intensive applications are out of the question

are there any games that use graphics heavy but little to no CPU? im thinking i will be limited to Killing floor at best and maybe L4D, as sadly Metro 2033 BF:BC2 and Cryostasis will be a wee bit bottlenecked haha

or maybe beat hazard and audiosurf will be my only options for playability...

(and i'm using the 460 1GB because it will folding, now)

counter strike source - will run well

killing floor(Unreal Engine) is pretty playable, even at max settings, though it gets caught up every 30sec or so

Killing Floor is a great game i love it and with that CPU you can play Painkiller that is if it's a 3Ghz Pentium 4!

my Thuban is back up :D

3.8GHz 6-core with 4GB DDR3 1500MHz is very very nice compared to the 3GHz pentium DDR2 533MHz
