I've installed FC2 (though it didn't ask for a key); restarting my computer I ran the game from menu - "play far cry 2" - it goes to a blank screen, then drops me back to desktop with: "you do not have sufficient access privileges to run the game please contact your administrator". I've followed patch 1.03 with patch 1.4 cumulative and still the problem persists.

I looked around, and around, and around for a solution to this problem. It seems a common problem and there's NOTHING to resolve it. One guy even wrote that he was abandoned by official tech support.

My specs are more than sufficient and I use win7 32bit. Please, has anyone any answers to this problem?

easy fix right click the farcry.exe game launcher and click properties then compatability and then show settings for all users and click on run as admin apply and all should be sorted

I navigated Ubisoft > bin folders to find FC2Launcher.exe
- I opened the properties box
- clicked on the compatibility tab
- opened "Change settings for all users" at the botttom
- the I checked "Run this program as an administrator" under privilege level
- Hit apply then OK
- Hit apply then OK to close the properties window
- opened FC2Launcher.exe

..."you do not have sufficient access privileges to run the game please contact your administrator"

Anything else come to mind?

disable UAC? reinstall
