Neverwinter Nights and C & C

Hi Guys. I am having a rather big problem with updating Neverwinter Nights. I have tried the normal in game updating route and all I get is the message that follows. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same thing happens. I have also tried the 2 critical rebuilds that I have found. One did nothing and the other stopped at about 60%. Also while I am here, for some reason that I can't work out is that Command and Conquer 3 Tiberian wars won't install full stop. It get to around 40%-50% and ceases up. I know it isn't a compatibility issue with the windows version cause a friend installed it no problem on the same version of windows. As always any help would be grateful.

Ok guys I really need help with this. I have done a lot of poking about and every patch I have found fails. Could this be the install that I have for Neverwinter. Also cannot get Command and Conquer to work what so ever. Though just a thought, would safe mode make it do anything??
