The average time spent consuming advertising with a video title is 110 hours versus 20 hours for football, according to The Wall Street Transcript. Also, video games retail for between $40 and $60 and video games are played for an average of six months.

Unless it's an online multiplayer game I don't play a title for 110 hours! I'm just waiting on that Pepsi Vending Machine to appear on Dust2 and a Subway to be above the CT spawn point.

That or having a map called DE_Walmart hehe

Is that a potential time spent? I can't remember a game where I saw 110 hours of advertising let alone play that long unless (like you said) it was an MMO, even then I guess I missed the Coke advertisement in the barrens...

i dont know if you were being facicious(sp) APOP but they have made a map WALMART. I would have to find it, kristins dad has it.

But i will rue the day when they start slapping that crap in my games!!! I dont care if it does bring the price down! If i have to start c4'ing pepsi machines in BF3 its going straight to dice!

I've spent uhh... way too much of my life playing WoW. I think something like 55-60 days? (1320-1440 hours)   A lot of that play time is late at night though.

The only other games that I stuck a lot of time into, that come to mind, are CounterStrike and Final Fantasy 7. I stuck atleast 200 hours into FF7, getting all the cool stuff along the way. CS on the other hand, I don't even want to know how much time I spent playing that in the 6 years that I've been playing it.

Dragon, that Walmart is a CS map (Hostage).... unless someone made a DE (nuke'em) version of it lately?
