The Elder Scrolls series actually cuts out a lot of the normal mundaneness for normal RPGs by eliminating the experience points system. You simply get better at whatever you do a lot of, be it spell casting, sword fighting, or whatever.
Also played in a first or third person perpective, so battles are actually interactive. You're actually in control of your sword and shield, bow, magic staff, etc etc etc

Not to mention the Psyhics, seems pretty bad-ass, shoot a bucket with arrows and watch it react, or shoot it on stone and watch it reflect, and then go back and pick your arrows up. Horseback riding, and instant travel for those who want face paced action.
Procedurely generated forests for a unique feel to the enviornment, over 200 artist designed dungeons, radiant AI, Evil or good, Vampires, Assassins, Mages, Warriors, Rogues And Much Much More!
Can you tell i have been waiting for this?

Did this actually get released today? How come when I go the site for this it keeps prompting me for a password etc?
**EDIT**
Well, I went out and picked it up today. If I get hooked and neglect my work, school and family I'm holding all of you responsible! If I hate it, someone can buy it for cheap

I'll probably buy this when I build a new computer, or atleast upgrade to a PCI-e setup. My 9800 Pro on my desktop is nice, but isn't going to be very nice with this game at decent resolutions!

I could also try playing another game besides WoW and not worry about the upgrade.
I never understood how to play #3, so hopefully this one will be easier to get to learn to play. I always got my ass kicked by anything I tried killing.
