*Blizzard Builds an Online Zerg Colony?
With WoW all but self sustaining and Starcraft: Ghost shelved, many are the fans that wonder what's next from Blizzard? A recent flood of info that supposedly came out of a presentation Blizzard held for 'Wall Street Today' talks of a future most gamers have only dreamed of. Supposedly, Blizzard intends to dedicate itself entirely to MMO development, and that it intends to bring all its classic framnchises into the online fold, including Diablo and Starcraft! Even more intriguing was news that Blizzard intends to segment these new series entries between MMO's designed to be played in 2 hour spurts or more than 2 hour spurts. Essentially crafting MMO's for gamers who want quick fix gameplay and the long drawn out affairs of typical MMO's.
Now if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Blizzard's been tight lipped about its future plans; and while the company's rampant recruiting efforts indicates their up to something other than just WoW upkeep what it is entirely unknown.
The Hedgehog's TakeStill, the dream of driving a Protoss Dragoon across an MMO battlefield against thousands of player controled Zerg sounds like too nice a dream to dismiss easily.
