Guitar Hero 2 for 360

Post by mongol05 »

Who else has been playing GH2 since it came out? I am absolutely loving it, but today, I was a little hacked off at Activision. They came out with the first set of track packs to download. Three songs per pack, 500 MS points each, or about $6.25 US. I personally think that is a little much for the number of songs you get. I was hoping for more like $1.00 per song.

Anybody else have an opinion?

I got it over the weekend. I already completed all of the songs on medium (spoiler below). I play real guitar and I have to say that playing on hard and expert is many times harder than playing the actual song for real. It's hard for me too because on easy/medium they skip a lot of in between notes and rythms and I try to play them out of habit. Sometimes it's easier playing songs you don't know.

BTW - there appears to be an issue with some models of theguitar. Check out the manufacturers website for more info (I saw this on engadget). I was disappointed that the guitar is not wireless. :(

**SPOILER***

The final track is Free Bird!

I'm still working on Medium, I first wanted to get all 5s on Easy, which I accomplished early last week, and just haven't had time to play it lately (a co-worker of mine let me borrow Shivering Isles, so I'm going through that as well as playing C&C 3, so busy =P)

I calculated that if they release all the songs from GH 1 in the same way they've done the first 3 track packs, it would cost $62.50, which seems entirely too pricy.

I'm not sure what songs are in GH1 but I'd like to have those too.

Well, here's what they've got in the Marketplace so far:

Guitar Hero Track Pack 1 (30.87 MB, 500 MSP)
"Bark at the Moon" - Ozzy Osbourne
"Hey You" - The Exies
"Ace Of Spades" - Motörhead

Guitar Hero Track Pack 2 (30.64 MB, 500 MSP)
"Killer Queen" - Queen
"Take It Off" - The Donnas
"Frankenstein" - The Edgar Winter Group

Guitar Hero Track Pack 3 (32.71 MB, 500 MSP)
"Higher Ground" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Infected" - Bad Religion
"Stellar" - Incubus

I've already downloaded Packs 1 & 2, and I'm going to get pack 3 when I get home from work. For some reason, I just completely missed that one this morning.

True. "All About The Games" Should really be changed to "PC Games", that would reduce confusion.
