Technology Solution Providers gain access to Asset Recovery, Hope for Children CSR Awards and Innovation Council
Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, today launched its “Partners in Innovation” channel program. The new program has been created specifically for Samsung’s valued channel partners and is designed to empower them with the resources they need to provide their customers with the innovative products and solutions they have come to expect from a global IT leader.
“Samsung is the only hardware manufacturer that has chosen to focus on the channel over a direct-to-business end user sales force,” said Richard Hutton, senior channel marketing manager for Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division. “Our partner relationships are solely focused on creating the best solutions for their customers. With that in mind, our new “Partners in Innovation’” program will provide our partners with the tools they need to be able to offer these solutions to their customers and ultimately increase profitability.”
The “Partners in Innovation” program was created to provide an improved experience for Samsung channel partners including "Partner Central", a much improved portal providing new, relevant content on a regular basis in addition to all the details and information needed regarding the entire suite of Samsung mobile PC, monitor, printer and commercial display products. In addition, partners will have access to a vastly expanded Asset Library where they can access a wide selection of Samsung images and copy blocks.
Key components of the new program include:
- Asset Recovery: Expanding on Samsung’s 10+ year relationship with AnythingIT, a global leader in IT asset recovery, trade-in and e-waste recycling programs, this program provides partners with access to a dedicated microsite built specifically for asset recovery, IT recyling and trade-in programs to ensure that all obsolete devices are resold or recycled in a secure and environmentally responsible way.
-“Hope for Children” CSR Awards: Resellers can get involved in their local communities through a corporate social responsibility initiative branded under Samsung’s “Hope for Children” umbrella. Each quarter resellers may nominate a worthy education institution to receive up to $10,000 in retail value of Samsung EBD products with the winners announced in the quarterly “Partners in Innovation” newsletter and listed on the “Hope for Children” channel award webpage.
- Innovation Council: A select group of valued partners ranging from enterprise level to SMBs will be invited to sit on an exclusive “Innovation Council” made up of strategic VARs and representatives from key education, healthcare and public sector verticals. This is designed to give partners a direct voice in future Samsung channel programs and provide them with a forum for product and service feedback. Planned activities include a bi-monthly conference call, a bi-annual in-person conference and a quarterly Voice-of-Customer (VOC) report that will be made available to all registered partners.
These programs are supported and supplemented with Samsung’s commitment to an unmatched global research and development re-investment and its comprehensive sales and marketing tools. Additonal support and training opportunties such as live, chat-enabled webcasts, an On-Demand library, on-site training and events and dedicated, world-class sales teams round out the new channel program.
“This program is just the beginning of our on-going commitment to improve the partner experience,” continued Hutton, “We see it as a journey of constant improvement as we continue to learn more about the the needs of our partners and we look forward to supporting them every step of the way.”
