Axper Launches Two New Graphics Cards based on S3 Graphics Chrome S20 Series Graphics Processors

Axper add-in cards powered by Chrome S27 and Chrome S25 expand worldwide availability for S3 Graphics products
Fremont, California, 10 March 2006 - S3 Graphics today announced that Axper, a leading provider of PC products, has selected the Chrome S20 Series of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to power their new line of graphics card offerings.

Driven by Fujitsu’s proven 90nm process technology, S3 Graphics Chrome S20 Series GPUs boast the industry’s fastest clock speeds, generating outstanding performance while maintaining incredibly low power and cooling requirements. The advanced Chromotion™ 3.0 Video Engine ensures vivid, crystal clear image quality for a growing world of high definition content. With output for all formats of HDTV, even up to 1080p, Chromotion’s advanced hardware acceleration delivers stutter-free full frame video with rich warm colors and remarkable clarity.

“When we were looking for a GPU that offered compelling value for our customers, we found that the S3 Graphics Chrome S20 series enabled us to stand out from the pack, in terms of offering a stunning visual experience and a leading feature set,” commented Leader Yeh, Axper. “The Axper XV-S27256D and XV-S25128D graphics cards are a valuable addition to our product line-up and will be offered throughout our global distribution channels.”

Axper XV-S27256D

At 700MHz, the S3 Graphics Chrome S27 powered Axper XV-S27256D features the industry’s highest core clock and boasts 256MB of 800MHz GDDR2 RAM, delivering outstanding 3D performance and remarkable image quality for high definition video playback. To heighten the gaming experience, two XV-S27256D boards can be run in parallel using S3 Graphics MultiChrome technology, an open-platform multi-GPU solution.

Axper XV-S25128D

The 500MHz S3 Graphics Chrome S25 GPU on the Axper XV-S25128D ushers in a new era of efficient graphics processing technology. Complimenting the 90nm Chrome S25 core is 128MB of DDR2 memory clocked at 700MHz for a cool alternative to the hot, power hungry cards found on the market today. The low profile form factor on the cool, quiet XV-S25128D makes it the ideal solution for high definition home theatre PCs.
