OCZ Technology Announces their Highly-Anticipated New Tempest CPU Cooler

Image
Sunnyvale, CA—July 10, 2006—OCZ Technology Group, Inc. a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory, today announced the anticipated release of the OCZ Tempest, the pinnacle of air and heat pipe CPU cooling technology. A perpetual commitment to the enthusiast community and previous experience in advanced cooling led to OCZ’s unveiling of the Tempest. The Tempest implements a state-of-the-art design to address the demanding cooling requirements of gamers and enthusiasts.

No stranger to premium cooling solutions, OCZ built the Tempest to provide reliable, extreme cooling capabilities for the latest CPU offerings. The Tempest features a pure copper base plate and quad copper heat pipe design to rapidly and efficiently dissipate heat, improving your overall CPU performance. Heat is transferred into a dense titanium plated fin array where a 92mm fan removes the thermal load quietly and effectively.

“OCZ has a long history in regards to enthusiast level cooling, and is ready to introduce our latest next generation CPU cooler, the Tempest,” stated Alex Mei, VP of Marketing, OCZ Technology Group, Inc. “The Tempest features leading-edge heat pipe technology and is specifically designed for gamers and enthusiasts that are looking for an exceptional, easy-to-install thermal solution for both current and next generation Intel and AMD platforms.”

Unlike many competing CPU coolers, the Tempest offers rival cooling abilities with the additional advantage of a compact footprint design. The Tempest’s superior heatsink layout is small enough to be used with the vast majority of motherboards and cases. Additionally, the Tempest gives enthusiasts and case modders the unprecedented freedom to customize their cooler by providing two sets of mounting holes to accommodate a wide range of replacement fans.

The OCZ Tempest is the ultimate cooling solution for enthusiasts and gamers who require an easy-to-install, high-quality, premium performance cooler.

Any idea on street price? I need to replace my ThermalTake passive radiator I think. This might be a good solution.
