ATI and Valve(r) invite RADEON(r) customers with Half-Life(r) 2 coupons to join the Counter-Strike: Source beta
MARKHAM, ON - August 20, 2004 - ATI Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ATYT; TSX:

That's kinda true, i own a 9600 pro but I had the beta a week or so earlier because I was given a press pass, the ati cards do extremely well on the Source engine -- with a 128bit 128mb 9600 pro at stock speeds (and rest of comp at stock) i achieved 42 fps (was a problem initially forcing vsync on even though it was OFF totally, which cut 85 in half to 42) constant @ 1024x768 4xAA 8xAF

there was little difference between 2 and 4x AA and even playable with 6/16 settings as well -- i hear the X800 platty gets 100 fps :o
