CoolIT Systems Unleashes the Boreas CPU/GPU Cooler

Powerful Boreas Chiller made available for DIY PC Enthusiasts

Calgary, Alberta – November 1st, 2007 – CoolIT Systems announces the availability of the highest performance liquid cooling system on the market, the Boreas. Driven by CoolIT’s patented MTECTM liquid cooling technology, the Boreas employs 12 Thermoelectric Coolers(TECs) which is capable of effectively cooling all of your computers critical components. The Boreas is now available on CoolIT’s website and can be customized with multiple CPU/GPU configurations. This marks the first time CoolIT has offered this liquid cooling beast for retail sale and also the first time any MTEC Chiller will be made available for the DIY enthusiast to build and fill themselves.

“The Boreas chiller was created as a statement to show what is possible with our MTEC technology as the most powerful cooling solution on the market. We felt that this tremendous product should be made available to the entire PC Enthusiast market.” said Geoff Lyon, CEO of CoolIT Systems. “We’ve been extremely impressed with some of the modifications and enhancements our customers have done with the Freezone and we’re eager to see the creativity that will be inspired with the availability of the Boreas” adds Lyon.

The Boreas is available now from CoolIT Systems starting at $450.

CoolIT Systems will not be able to send out the Boreas for individual review. To request additional product information and images or to schedule an interview with CoolIT CEO, Geoff Lyon, to discover more about the emerging trend of liquid cooling, please contact Public Relations representative Matt Shumate at (305) 576-1171 x15 or by e-mail at [email protected].

Only $450 to start

Seems like a nice cooler, but when does the price outweigh the fact you could just get a faster cpu? I know if you have the money for the top of the line cpu then this would boost it even farther, but $450? Do you guys REALLY think it is worth the money?

Mike

Would love to see some real numbers out in the wild on this too! I saw the thing about 25C for the liquid in the system and that just blew my mind at how good it cools, but I would love to see more numbers compared with regualr HSF and with the lower end water coolers.
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me :finga:

It's priced out of the market for what it does...not worth the money.
