abit Introduces the AN68SD Series

“Excellent performance at a bargain price!”

November 5, 2007- abit today announced the launch of the AN68SD series motherboards; the AN68SD series is based upon the nVidia nForce 520D chipset supporting not only AMD AM2 CPUs but also offering BIOS support for future AM2+ processors.

Four 240-pin DIMM sockets offer a maximum of 8GB memory capacity for Dual Channel DDR2 800 modules. 2 x PCI-E and 3 x PCI slots hold enough potential for further expansion and system upgrades with different add-on cards. In addition, the scalable high definition on-board audio offers the flexibility to set with up audio systems from stereo all the way to 7.1 channels.

To provide an even more convenient and user-friendly system, abit also integrated some of their unique abit Engineered features into the AN68SD series, including SoftMenu for an easy system setup, EZ CCMOS switch for more ease in resetting the BIOS, and abit Silent OTES for better heat dissipation in a silent environment.

abit SoftMenu

The complicated procedure of tuning or even just adjusting the BIOS settings frequently gives users a hard time. With this ease-to-use BIOS-based interface, you have direct access to all major system parameters.

External CCMOS Switch

You are able to clear the CMOS memory directly from the back panel, using abit’s innovative new EZ switch. If you are pushing your hardware to the extreme and experiment with risky settings, you do not need to open the computer case to go back to save grounds.

abit Slient OTES

The abit patented heat pipe absorbs and conducts heat from the NB to a special heatsink at the PWM area where the airflow from the CPU fan rapidly exhausts the heat from the computer case.
