This isn't a press release really, but the guys from AGEIA sent this over and I thought it was worth a post...
I just wanted to share with you that we had record PC System quarterly sales in the third quarter. Here are some reasons why:

• Hewlett Packard has just launched their Blackbird 002. Blackbird 002 is PhysX optimized. Gamers can configure the new high-end gaming system to come with a PhysX.

• The PhysX processor comes as a standard component of the new Dell XPS notebook. The new notebook will officially launch before the holiday season. Dell still has us under NDA, but details will be coming soon.

• Medion, one of Europe’s leading PC makers, announced its PhysX-based desktop PC just a few days ago at the Leipzig Games Convention.

• Acer, Europe's #2 PC vendor is continuing to increase is PhysX based PC sales from quarter to quarter.

• After our launch of AGEIA Mobile PhysX Technology at Leipzig, we've had multiple mobile inquiries from other potential notebook PC customers. More details coming soon.

They are doing well because they are forcing people to pay for the product?

Nice

Well a good install base will make this a consideration when developers make new games, so its kind of a good thing really.

I thought we would see by now companies integrating some sort of "Physics Chip" directly alongside a GPU. I still wonder if enthusiasts really care about having a separate PPU versus doing minimal physics processing with their video card. :dunno:
