San Francisco, 18th September, 2007 - MiTAC Technology Corporation, a leading systems supplier, today announced that it is collaborating with Intel to deliver optimized applications for Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) and is showcasing these solutions at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in San Francisco.

MiTAC highlighted three software products including the INSTANT PLAY® technology, multimedia player and location-based service (LBS) applications. INSTANT PLAY® is MiTAC’s world-leading technology that features fast system boot and access to applications in just a few seconds. The multimedia player consolidates the functions of photo gallery, music playback, and video playback, seamlessly integrating with a 3D user interface. MiTAC’s LBS applications include real-time positioning, path recording, geo-coded photo shooting, and location-aware photo indexing, all interoperable with both on-line and off-line maps. All these features and applications represent targeted usage models for MIDs.
