I still haven't got my five free movies from the first offer and I mailed it back in August. The fine print says this: Free HD DVDs are limited to the selection shown for this offer, while supplies last. The new ones look better but remember you can only pick one PER category.

Also here is a link to the rebate: http://assets.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/h ... DOffer.pdf

Well I mailed my rebate in for five free movies and nothing so far... August, September, October and now November... I guess it's taking a bit longer than 8-10 weeks...

Remember this is for the original rebate and not the new one...

I called Toshiba at 1-800-405-7520 to ask about my status a couple weeks ago and they said it was processed and waiting to ship. Well, I got a post card in the mail today saying that my shipment is even further delayed... Now that these DVD players are selling off the shelves with the Christmas season ahead can you imagine how long these people are going to be waiting? Waiting 12+ weeks for some DVD's is nuts... They dropped the ball on this one. Looks like it will take them 16 weeks if the estimated ship date on the post card is right. A ship date of 11/25/2007.... crazy.

I just called Toshiba at 1-800-405-7520 to ask about my status again as 11/25/2007 has passed and the movies still have not shipped. The order is still in process. Funny they claimed the post card was not from them, but after I read it to them they said it was indeed from them. It's been August, September, October and nearly all of November now... I also don't know of anyone else that has gotten their free movies from the first promotion. Has anyone gotten their 5 Free HD DVD's from Toshiba?

Ugh, I am hoping HD-DVD wins the war over the Sony "Rootkit" Corp but it's looking like Toshiba isn't much better. :(
