February 27, 2004 – ABIT, along with Intel, Kingston, Dong Feng Yueda Kia Motors, Western Digital, and Viewsonic are pleased to announce the ACON4 Worldwide Gaming Event. Spread out over 19 countries and territories, ACON4 promises to be one of 2004’s most exciting gaming events.
“We’ve assembled a gaming tournament on a truly global scale,” says ABIT Marketing Director Scott Thirlwell, “ABIT along with our partners are excited to be able to bring this competition to gamers world wide.”
Throughout 19 different countries and territories worldwide, avid gamers will participate in the ACON4 qualifiers. During each qualifying event, one gamer will win the right to represent their region at the ACON4 finals. From there, the winners will be flown, all expenses paid, to the ACON4 finals located in Shanghai, China. The representatives from each region will then compete head-to-head in a Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne tournament to determine the ACON4 champion.

ACON4 qualifiers will take place in the following 19 countries and territories:
