Antec Introduces Newest Performance Series Computer Cases

Post by LVCapo »

Fremont, CA - March 29, 2005 - Antec, Inc., the leading manufacturer of computer hardware and accessories for the upgrade and build your own (BYO) markets, has launched Performance TX, the newest line of cases in its popular Performance Series of PC enclosures for individual users and system builders.

Building on the success of the original Performance and Performance Plus Series, Antec's Performance TX cases feature an advanced cooling system and meet Intel's Thermally Advantaged Chassis (TAC) design guide to maintain maximum cooling within the case. All models support the latest AMD and Intel processors as well as the latest graphics cards, and feature an adjustable CPU fan duct that can be set to accommodate any system.

Performance TX is available in four models including mini tower and SOHO file server cases. All four models feature an advanced cooling system with 120mm TriCool case fans, a side panel vent for cooling to the VGA card, a Chassis Air Guide with an optional 92mm intake fan to provide maximum cooling to the CPU, and mounts for two optional front 80mm fans. Other features include two front-mounted USB 2.0 ports, Firewire and audio connectors for easy multimedia connections, a built-in washable air filter to keep air flowing through the case and a double hinge door for easy installation that swings open up to 270 degrees on SOHO file server models.

Performance TX cases come with Antec's latest SmartPower 2.0 and TruePower 20 power supplies, depending on the model. The ATX12V v2.0 power supplies are designed to be both forward and backward compatible with ATX form factors. Performance TX 1050B includes a SmartPower 2.0 500W power supply that features an advanced cable management system, allowing PC users to isolate and utilize only the cables they need, thereby reducing clutter and improving airflow inside the case.

"The launch of Antec's original Performance Series line of PC cases helped set off the Do-It-Yourself computing revolution. As a pioneer in the BYO market, Antec continues to stay ahead of the latest developments with its redesigned Performance TX line of enclosures," said Scott Richards, Antec worldwide vice president of sales and marketing. "Whether an individual PC user or a system builder, it is essential to choose a case that will satisfy both current and future computing needs. Performance TX supports the latest technologies, allowing PC users to take full advantage of cutting-edge computer trends."

The Performance TX series is currently available through major retailers, e-tailers and distributors for estimated street prices ranging from $109 to $179 depending on the model. The cases are backed by Antec's industry-leading Quality 3-Year (AQ3) Warranty. For additional product information and full technical specifications, please visit http://www.antec.com.
