First Look at Incident Commander™ and New Pulse™ Technology Developed to Meet the Needs for Improved Training for Emergency Responders
Baltimore, Md. – BreakAway ltd., a leading developer of game-based technology solutions for training, experimentation and decision-making analysis will be at the E3 Media and Business Summit to demonstrate a new version of Incident Commander™, a training tool that allows first responders to better train on a coordinated multi-agency response to natural disasters or acts of terrorism. Incident Commander is supported by a suite of game-based development tools that enable extensive customization options for recreating real world locations, scripting complex scenarios, and tailoring the end simulation experience to meet the precise training requirements of your organization. Incident Commander is a follow up release to software developed by BreakAway for the Department of Justice that was distributed by the U.S. Justice Department to more than 30,000 public safety, state and regional authorities around the country.
In addition to the homeland security application, BreakAway has developed tools to train medical and health professionals in life-saving, decision-making skills through its Pulse!! technology. BreakAway will be demonstrating Pulse!! 2.0 including new cases developed to better prepare medical professionals to identify and respond to incidents involving bio-terrorism attacks. Pulse!! is an innovative technology that allows students and medical professionals to practice decision-making protocol and clinical skills on their PCs, in a virtual hospital setting, anywhere, at anytime, in a safe learning environment. Pulse!! was developed with Texas A&M - Corpus Christi as part of its medical school training curriculum.
BreakAway is currently using the Pulse!! engine to create a dental implant training simulation with the Medical College of Georgia.
