PCs powered by NVIDIA SLI technology posted new world records in Futuremark’s 3DMark05 benchmark. Shamino was the first to break 14,000 3DMarks when he posted a world-record setting 3DMark05 score of 14,047 over the weekend. Recently, Sampsa & Kamu from Muropaketti.com posted 14,206 3DMarks and now sit atop the Futuremark Hall of Fame. Both record breaking systems feature an NVIDIA nForce™4 SLI-based motherboard and two NVIDIA GeForce™ 6800 Ultra graphics processing units (GPUs).
“PC enthusiasts who compete for the top spot on Futuremark’s Hall of Fame know that the fastest 3D performance is only available through the award-winning SLI technology from NVIDIA,” said Ujesh Desai, general manager of desktop product marketing at NVIDIA. “By harnessing the power of two GPUs, NVIDIA is resetting performance expectations for the enthusiasts PC.”
