BPONG.COM™ Kicks Off the New Year in Las Vegas with The World Series of Beer Pong™ IV, January 1-5, 2009
Chicago, Illinois- December 29, 2008- BPONG.COM™, the official governing body of the popular skill sport Beer Pong, is headed to Las Vegas to ring in the New Year with its annual event, The World Series of Beer Pong™.

The World Series of Beer Pong has grown significantly over the past three years and this year ‘s tournament will be the largest ever, being held at the renowned Flamingo Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 1-5, 2009. Over 400 teams are registered to compete for the $50,000 first place cash grand prize, the largest cash prize given away in Beer Pong history.

“Beer Pong is a rapidly growing skill sport, and this tournament allows us to round up the elite Beer Pong players and have them compete for some serious cash,” said Billy Gaines, co-founder of BPONG.COM. “Teams work extremely hard to get here, not only through practice but also financially. Seeing so many Beer Pong teams playing at the same time is extremely exciting and it’s fiercely competitive to make it to the final rounds and the first place cash prize.”

Beer Pong is becoming more and more competitive as a sport and The World Series of Beer Pong is the perfect place for players to go and showcase their skills and talent. The event is open for public viewing , with tickets available for purchase at the door of the event; prices are $20 per day and $50 for the entire event.

this is rut, they call rut beer pong, as you can see near the bottom of the press release(and if you check out the site, it's all beirut)

Haha, I never read the "About" sections. I get annoyed with how many "house rules" pop up where I play.

We got crazy and played with Jagermeister one night, the only rule was: If the ball goes in you drink, if the ball doesn't go in you don't drink.

i like this rule
In the event of player interference prior to the ball making contact with a cup, (aka premature grabulation), a one-cup penalty will be imposed for the interference. The thrower who had his or her shot interfered with may choose the cup to be removed.

yeah, certain places make you do certain things, just ask the rules if it's your first time playin in a specific place(house)

and that would be better if you miss and still drink because you missed ;)
