NVIDIA Announces High-Volume Worldwide Availability of the New GeForce™ 7800 GTX GPU
SANTA CLARA, CA—JUNE 22, 2005—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors, today announced immediate availability of the NVIDIA® GeForce™ 7800 GTX graphics processing unit (GPU).

Starting today, consumers can purchase the highly-anticipated GeForce 7800 GTX GPU from the world’s leading add-in card manufacturers at online retailers. In addition, an unprecedented number of PC OEMS and system builders have announced plans to build systems around the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 models of GPUs.

“We've never had such widespread volume availability of a GPU on launch day,” stated Jeff Fisher, executive vice president of worldwide sales at NVIDIA. “Frankly, this breakthrough in availability is as significant as the breakthrough the GeForce 7800 GTX GPU makes in performance.”

“We have been shipping GeForce 7800 GTX GPU-based graphics boards to our retail partners for several weeks in order to assure that they will be in stock and for sale today—the day NVIDIA announced,” said Eddie Memon, vice president at XFX. “Our customers love real product launches, and we are sure the reaction of end users will be extremely positive.”

“Alienware’s customers demand the best components available, and the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX GPU takes its place at the top of their wish list,” said Robert Lusk, vice president of sales and marketing at Alienware. “I don’t think we have ever seen a new high-end GPU debut with immediate availability!”

System builders, add-in card manufacturers, and retailers are offering lightning-fast performance by leveraging the combined power of dual GeForce 7800 GTX GPUs through NVIDIA SLI™ technology.

“When I saw how fast the GeForce 7800 GTX GPU was, I was floored. I was even more amazed when I plugged in a second card and ran the pair in SLI mode and saw the performance go even higher,” enthused Randy Copeland, president and CEO of Velocity Micro.

About the GeForce 7800 GTX GPU
Announced earlier today, the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX GPU represents a culmination of groundbreaking visual effects technologies, including support for NVIDIA SLI™ technology, NVIDIA PureVideo™ technology, Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 Shader Model 3.0, advanced antialiasing algorithms, and much more. In addition, an all new NVIDIA CineFX™ 4.0 engine delivers unparalleled horsepower with twice the floating point shading power of the previous generation products. Raising the bar for performance, visual effects, image quality, and video functionality, the GeForce 7800 GTX GPUs power an extreme PC experience.
