What: The world of the PC is constantly evolving. An older PC may be unable to handle the processing requirements of popular media, such as games, videos and high-definition movies. In these tough economic times, it may not always be an option to buy a new PC. The solution? Upgrade your graphics card and turn your old PC into a visual computing powerhouse. Beginning Monday, June 1 and running through July 31 at all 22 Milwaukee PC retail store locations, customers who purchase a special “PC Makeover” package will receive a cutting-edge NVIDIA GeForce GPU, optimized software, a complimentary PC diagnostic and they can even have the graphics card installed for free by a Milwaukee PC store technician!
Customers have the option of choosing between three upgrade packages—Creative Explorer, Multimedia Master and Mega Gamer—all which utilize the visual computing power of NVIDIA GeForce® GPUs.
* The Creative Explorer upgrade includes an EVGA GeForce 9500GT (PCIe) or GeForce 6200 (AGP) and allows for improved picture quality in movies as well as higher performance of popular games such as Spore and The Sims.
* For those interested in HD movies or photo and video editing, the Multimedia Master includes the EVGA GeForce 9600GT and even includes special discounts on software applications optimized for NVIDIA GPUs such as MotionDSP’s vReveal that lets consumers clean up video to share on social networking sites like Facebook and YouTube.
* For customers who want to play games like Fallout 3 and F.E.A.R. 2 at HD resolutions, the Mega Gamer upgrade includes the EVGA GeForce GTS 250 GPU and even includes a free copy of the EA hit, Cryostasis, which also supports NVIDIA PhysX technology for an even deeper level of gaming immersion.
