DrMOS Power Supply and Easy Overclocking Showcases MSI R&D

The annual IT showcase Computex 2009 will be held at the Taipei World Trade Center between June 2 ~ 6. The international mainboard and graphics card manufacturer, msi, will take advantage of this event and present many of the future products and technologies developed by its various business divisions on display. The products on display from the mainboard division will feature msi mainboards equipped with the DrMOS advanced power module but also the company's proprietary Easy OC technology. These soon-to-be released next-generation Intel mainboards will show the efforts msi made when developing mainboards that meet consumer needs.

- DrMOS Boosts Performance per Watt
To meet the consumer requirement for system stability, msi became the first in the industry to adopt the DrMOS power supply design. This advanced power supply design does not only allow smart power switching based on current loads but also delivers improved power quality. To help consumers to better understand this technology, msi is providing an introduction to DrMOS during Computex 2009 and has made comparisons of actual power flows explaining why DrMOS is superior to conventional power designs.

- Next-Generation Easy OC Technology Delivers More Performance With Less Effort
Moreover, msi has also incorporated more creative features into its mainboard designs for the increasing need for a convenient overclocking. Since the release of P45 products, a variety of Easy OC technologies such as OC Jumper, Easy OC Switch, OC Dial and MAX FSB have been developed to let consumers overclock their systems without having to deal with complicated settings. At this year's Computex, msi is not only providing an introduction to these existing Easy OC technologies but is also announcing the official release of the all new msi OC Genie overclocking technology. With msi OC Genie, maximum performance can be extracted with a single press of a button. Such a simple approach to performance improvements will no doubt trigger a new round of overclocking frenzy in the second half of the year.
