Coming in 32, 64, 128 and 256GB capacities, the G-Monster V5 and V5J drives features a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, have a MTBF (mean time before failure) of 2.5 million hours and come backed by a one-year warranty. The main differences between the two V5 models is that the former has been built using an Indilinx controller and 128MB of cache memory, while the latter has been designed using JMicron's latest controller, featuring 256MB of buffer. These enable the two drives to deliver various performance stats, with the Indilix-based V5 model offering read and write speeds of 270MB/s (32/64GB versions reach 200MB/s when writing), while the JMicron model provides speeds of 240/200MB/s respectively.

One Interesting feature of this drive include 4K Random Write 21MB/s, Read 29MB/s, and 128MB onboard cache.

No word on pricing.

Ooooooo...interested in seeing how the new Jmicron controller performs. From what I have seen, they haven't been as vigilant about updating their firmware to support things like native TRIM and SMART support. Indilinx is releasing updates left and right.

Does the Indilinx now support TRIM?
