MSI equips entire X58 mainboard line-up with NVIDA SLI technology
Global mainboard and graphics card manufacturer MSI, today announces that its entire line up of MSI X58 mainboards will support NVIDIA SLI technology. The entire series of mainboards now supports both NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX, enabling the highest graphics performances. As a result of MSI’s continuous product improvements, a new overclocking record was recently set on an Intel Core i7 975 with MSI Eclipse SLI.
Free SLI support upgrade
All MSI X58 mainboards can be upgraded for free, by simply downloading the newest BIOS to expand the X58 board's total capabilities. The latest BIOS versions for MSI X58 mainboards can be downloaded on http://www.msi.com.
The user can easily update the BIOS with MSI’s M-Flash tool built in the BIOS. Another fast way to upgrade the MSI X58 mainboard in Windows is MSI’s Live Update.
New OC World Record with Eclipse SLI
The MSI X58 mainboards are equipped with the 2nd generation DrMOS power design and APS (Active Phase Switching) technology, which results in the best performance per watt. MSI is committed to push the MSI X58 mainboards to the max. Recently this resulted in a new over-clocking WORLD record of 5.7Ghz, which was set using the MSI Eclipse SLI and the Intel Core i7 975.
